Welcome to my mailing list for my friends/family!  I created
this list as I believe you share my concerns regarding school
funding in the State of Michigan.  Hopefully, you have already
checked out the great website, www.miparentsforschools.org.  I
now have my "own" mailing list, which is listed as:
"monroe-schools at lists.miparentsforschools.org".  (However, the
info is not necessarily specific just to Monroe.)  So, you will
be getting more emails from me at that address - please don't
delete it!  It's just me!

I want to assure you that your email address will not be shared
with anyone else (other than the webmaster in Ann Arbor, Steven
Norton, who designed & maintains the original website.)  If you
haven't done so already, go to "www.miparentsforschools.org" and
register your email address.  You will then have the opportunity
to get regular email updates (make sure you select "digest"
format) regarding Michigan school funding issues.  I have been a
subscriber for about two months now and I get 1-2 emails per
week, and if you select "digest" format, they will be approx.
only one paragraph long - that's all.  Then, if you want more
detailed information, there will be a link within the email that
will allow you to click & get the "whole story".

The reason I am so PASSIONATE about this website is that it is
the easiest way to pass along vital information regarding school
funding in Michigan.  The website makes it very easy to send
your opinions on school funding to our legislators in Lansing. 
If you believe, as I do, that it is important for us to have a
voice in the future of education for our children and
grandchildren, please join me.  If you have any questions
regarding this website and/or the mailing list, please let me
